Low Budget Warning This article explains why you might see a Low Budget Warning in the app and offer instructions to update your budget. In This Article What's a Low Budget? Updating Your Calorie Budget What's a Low Budget? A low calorie budget indicates a weight loss plan that may be too aggressive. This warning was implemented to ensure the safety of our members and promote healthy, sustainable weight loss. If your daily average calorie budget falls below what's considered safe, you will see a warning appear on the Budget screen in the app. Here are those guidelines: Men: Minimum of 1,500 calories/day Women: Minimum of 1,200 calories/day The Cleveland Clinic Diet app will use your average daily calorie budget in a given week to determine when your budget is too low/falls below this threshold. Updating Your Calorie Budget We strongly recommend updating your weight loss plan if you see this warning. You are not required to do so, however. To update your budget: Open the Cleveland Clinic Diet app Tap Program Tap View Program Details Select Calorie Budget If you're using a Standard Budget, use the Weekly Rate option to lower your weight loss rate and increase your budget. If you're using a Custom Budget, tap into your current budget to enter in a custom increase and Save. Tap Back (top-left corner)
